Roc joint PU 925
This polyurethane expansion joint sealant is supplied in cartridges, so it’s easy to apply and ideal for smaller joint widths.
Typical applications:
- Induced saw-cut joints in industrial concrete floors, typically up to 6mm
- Expansion joints in external slabs
- Indoor or outdoor use
- New concrete floors, and joint repairs
Product Description
Roc Joint PU925 is a gun-grade polyurethane expansion joint sealant for concrete floors. Supplied in cartridges or sausages, this flexible putty is applied along the length of a saw-cut joint in the concrete floor. Once set, Roc joint PU925 supports the joint arrises to help prevent damage and spalling caused by vehicles and pedestrians crossing the joint.
Joint sealant cartridges or sausages
This joint sealant is supplied as a ready-to-use putty, in 310ml cartridges (product code PU920), or 600ml sausages (product code PU925). It is applied with a manual or pneumatic gun, and hand finished with a trowel.
Ideal for new saw-cut joints
Roc joint PU925 can be used on a new concrete floor, from the time the joints are first cut. It is advisable to replace the sealant once the floor has cured and the joints have fully opened. Depending on the final joint width, more Roc joint PU925 could be used, or a permanent hard sealant such as Roc joint PU12.
Use with Ethafoam joint backing
Before filling the joint, first insert a length of Roc Ethafoam joint backing. Doing so will create a more shallow groove within the joint, so the sealant will sit neatly near the floor’s surface and not slump deep into the joint. Refer to our datasheet for more details.
Resistant to chemicals
Once cured, Roc joint PU925 has a very good resistance to hydrocarbons and most chemicals – so it’s ideal for floors which may be at risk of oil or petrol spillages, or which are subject to regular cleaning.
